The goal
The security objective of a typical organization is to increase visibility through maximum telemetry to identify malicious activity from hackers attempting to penetrate through sophisticated multi-vector attacks. Hackers take advantage of blind spots that represent poor telemetry and visibility of deployed security solutions.
The Challenge
The typical SOC-as-a-Service provider source multiple products only from a single/dual vendor to address multiple attack vectors as otherwise it would be more complex and costly for the SOC provider to source each product from another vendor. However, as in other industries, it is known that no single vendor has a complete portfolio with best-in-class products for different attack vectors/applications. A typical security vendor would have only just few best-in-class products with high telemetry/visibility out of his entire portfolio of products, while the remaining products with low-medium telemetry/visibility allow blind spots that lead to poor security performance for some of the attack vectors that hackers seek to exploit.
